First Aid at Work - Registered Persons

Who should attend:

Successful candidates are presented with a Three year First Aid at Work Certificate which is approved by the Health & Safety Executive for the purposes of the Health & Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981.

This course has been designed for any individuals wishing to gain this qualification.

  • Initial Assessment of Casualties

  • Respiration and causes of Hypoxia
  • Resuscitation - Theory and Practice
  • Recovery Position
  • Choking - Conscious and Unconscious

Day Two

  • Revision
  • Diagnosing - History, Signs and Symptoms
  • Circulation and Wounds
  • Treatment of Bleeding
  • Shock - Causes, recognition and treatment
  • Internal Bleeding, Crush Injuries and Special sites
  • Unconsciousness - Common causes

Day Three

  • Revision
  • Major Illnesses and Conditions
  • Head Injuries: Concussion, Compression and Skull Fracture
  • Burns and Scalds
  • Fractures and Dislocations
  • Injured Muscles etc
  • Eye Injuries


Day Four

  • Revision
  • Minor Injuries
  • Transport
  • Practice
  • Revision
  • Examinations
  • Course Assessment

Rate
Standard rate - £1,950 (plus £10 per person accreditation fee)
