Site Manager's Safety Training Scheme (SMSTSS)

Who should attend:

This course is intended for project managers, site managers and supervisors as well as proprietors of small to medium sized companies.

What you will learn:

The course covers The Health & Safety at Work Act and the regulations relevant to the construction industry. To include:

  • Site Set-up
  • CDM Regulations
  • Risk Assessments
  • Method Statements
  • Scaffolding
  • Electricity
  • Excavations
  • Demolition
  • Confined Spaces

It also includes recent changes in accepted working practices. For those who successfully complete the course there is a recognised certificate.

The course helps site managers (and anyone wanting to become a site manager) to develop a better understanding of the legal, moral and social responsibilities of their role, and to manage health and safety on site in accordance with current legal provisions.
