Water Usage Calculations

Part G of England and Wales Building Regulations covers water use and sanitation. It was updated in April 2010 to include a new section on water efficiency. In order to comply with this change, all new houses submitted since to planning after 5th April 2010 must be shown to use less than 125 litres of water per person per day. This can be shown by completing a Water Usage Calculation.

We are able to complete this calculation and our experienced assessors can also provide guidance on how best to achieve any required usage target. Once completed we will send you our report to show compliance with Part G for each house type.

From October 2010, the results of this calculation will have an effect on your SAP Calculations and could affect your Energy Performance Certificate rating. If your development is being built to the Code for Sustainable Homes standard, your water limit could be as low as 80 litres per person per day.
